Re assembly is a reversal is this procedure, but you need to remember to feed the wires for the switches through their respective holes before refitting the fascia, or they can be hard to get back through!. The clock can now be disconnected, and is only held by two screws at its rear. The sliding cup holder will still be in place and makes this bit tricky. Withdraw the fascia panel, which has two strong lugs holding it still at the top, which will take some effort to get free. two at the base of the fascia, two on the inside edges of the radio aperture and two in the top two switch recesses. Hopefully there are now six screws you can see holding the fascia (I'm working from memory here lol). The can be levered out using a thin blade to their side egde, in between them and the fascia (remember to put some card behind the blade to avoid scratching the fascia)ĭisconnect the wiring to the switches, and possibly label which wires go to each switch. Prize out the the switches for: hazard lights heated screens boot opener etc. You can now slide the centre console rearwards a bit, which will be enough to remove the fascia panel. Undo the three bolts in the base of the centre console CD storage box. This just pulls upwards to remove.īelow the panel you have just removed, undo the one screw holding the centre console. Pull up and remove the flat surround of the ashtray and cup holder. The surround is only held in place with plastic lugs. Remove the gear stick surround, first removing the gear knob by turning it anti clockwise. these are only held with one screw at the front and lugs at the rear. Remove both lower panels from the centre console (the ones in the front footwells). This is not an overly complex job (as per above), but there are lots of separate operations needed to complete this.
If you are not the Guv, and work at the same speed as everyone else, it may take you fifteen to twenty minutes to do this.
